[b:99eaa86ef6][u:99eaa86ef6]Nemo Nisi Mors - Raid Loot Distribution[/u:99eaa86ef6][/b:99eaa86ef6]
Nemo Nisi Mors uses a slightly differnt loot distribution method then you might be used to, especially if you are used to DKP systems. Our experience with this system is nothing but brilliant as we rarely have problems with loot, and we ensure it is always distributed in a fair manner. Our aim is to acquire the most progress for the guild in the fairest manner to it's members, so that we may tackle harder and harder encounters smoothly.
The system ensures that people who put effort in, are rewarded in a fairly equal manner with loot. At the same time, new members don't have an impossible job of catching up, it's merely a matter of attending raids, and when acquiring no loot after a while their PR will match or surpass that of members who did get loot.
We have finetuned this system during the entire of The Burning Crusade, and it has distinct advantages over DKP for everybody involved, both veterans and new members alike.
[b:99eaa86ef6]EPGP - Priority Rating[/b:99eaa86ef6]
EPGP is based on the concept of Effort Points and Gear Points. Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards the (common) guild goals and Gear Points quantify what each member got back in return. Loot priority is computed as the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP/GP.
The Priority Rating of our members is then used to determine who has the first choice on items which apply to their main spec, unless an exception applies to the item in question. (See below)
[b:99eaa86ef6]Loot Distribution[/b:99eaa86ef6]
Loot is distributed by a Master Looter, which will always be a member with the Raid Leader rank or above. He/she will simply ask the person with the highest PR rating if he/she wants the item. This person answers with [u:99eaa86ef6]yes[/u:99eaa86ef6] or [u:99eaa86ef6]pass[/u:99eaa86ef6], and in case of a pass the Raid Leader will call the next person's name.
In some cases, as an item has dropped a significant number of times, or the raid leader suspects a small amount of interest, he might simply ask who is interested. People who are interested simply state so, everyone else keeps quiet. The person which the highest loot rights will then receive the item. This method is commonly used to save time.
[b:99eaa86ef6]Priority[/b:99eaa86ef6]
It is important to realise that Priority Rating alone is not the only factor which comes into play. Obviously Full Members have Priority over Trial Members, regardless of their current PR standings.
The exact order of Priority is as follows;
1. Full Member with Highest PR
2. Trial Member, Raid Leader's Discretion
3. Off-Spec Full Member*
4. Off-Spec Trial Member*
5. Social Member, Raid Leader's Discretion
6. Off-Spec Social Member*
A member at all times has the right to allow a person with less priority to compete with him/her for an item, as long as nobody else wants it.
*More about Off-Specs further below.
[b:99eaa86ef6]Minimal EP[/b:99eaa86ef6]
A member is regarded to have a PR of 0 until he acquires an EP of 500 or above. If multiple trial members with less then 500 EP are present during a raid, Loot Distrubution is at the sole discretion of the Raid Leader. There can be a number of reasons to ignore their EP and assign an item directly.
[b:99eaa86ef6]Exceptions[/b:99eaa86ef6]
Please take note of the following exceptions to above;
[list:99eaa86ef6]
[*:99eaa86ef6] In extremely rare cases we reserve the right to assign an item to somebody directly. This will be only happen with a good explanation in raid chat and requires a majority agreement. (This is not a dictatorship and we don't want to diminish the PR system)
[*:99eaa86ef6] Some items, despite being perfectly suited for your class, are primarily suited for another class. That class WILL have priority, even if you need the item for your main spec. We simply ask for some common sense, and want members to think along when loot drops; always ask "how useful would this be to other classes" and be aware of the gear levels of your fellow members.

[b:99eaa86ef6][u:99eaa86ef6]Gaining EP (Effort Points)[/u:99eaa86ef6][/b:99eaa86ef6]
[i:99eaa86ef6]Note: This list will adapt based on our performance and current progress level. We will generally announce when changes are made.[/i:99eaa86ef6]
[list:99eaa86ef6]
[*:99eaa86ef6]Being on time*: 25 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Per 15 min. spent raiding: 2 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]At the end of the raid**: 10 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Boss Kill, Karazhan: No EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Boss Kill, Zul'Aman: No EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Clearing Gruul's Lair: 25 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Clearing Magtheridon: 25 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Boss Kill, TK / SSC: 25 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Guild First: 50 EP
[/list:u:99eaa86ef6]
EP Gain as a "Reserve":
[list:99eaa86ef6]
[*:99eaa86ef6]Being on time*: 15 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Per hour available as reserve: 5 EP
[*:99eaa86ef6]Swapping in as replacement***: 10 EP
[/list:u:99eaa86ef6]
[i:99eaa86ef6]* Showing up on time is a flat 25 EP, this will start to be enforced more strictly so that showing up late no longer gives this EP. Late is anything later then INVITE time. Having everyone there and ready is crucial to a smooth start. People who make the raid wait with actions which could have been prevented will not get the 25 EP. (This does not count disconnects or other issues outside the influence of the individual)[/i:99eaa86ef6]
[i:99eaa86ef6]** The 10 EP bonus for staying until the end only counts for people still in the raid group. If you leave too quickly for whatever reason, you will miss this bonus and for administrative purposes, we will not refund or change this.[/i:99eaa86ef6]
[i:99eaa86ef6]*** This 10 EP bonus for swapping in as replacement is to make up the difference between showing up on time as a raider, and showing up on time as a replacement. Note that this 10 EP only applies if you are at the raid within 5 minutes after being asked to replace somebody.
[b:99eaa86ef6][u:99eaa86ef6]Losing EP (Effort Points)[/u:99eaa86ef6][/b:99eaa86ef6]
In extreme cases the Raid Leader can appeal to the Guild Leader for an EP penalty to be given to a Guild Member. Usually this would be paired with a warning, directly followed by removal from the guild if the event occurs again. We are simply not the kind of guild to tolerate extreme behaviour. In most cases a direct kick will be issued.
As per February 2008, the guidelines for EP penalties have been removed and we will handle this on a case-by-case basis, taking account of human factors.
Penalties range from flat EP penalties such as -50 EP (Very mild) to percentage based penalties, artificially lowering somebodies PR position as a result. In severe situations this can be up to 25% and the only more severe situation would be a direct guild kick.
[i]Note: Shit happens. Real life happens. The polite thing to do is to post afterwards what happened and why. We are generally reasonable people and sometimes things are out of your hands. Taking proper and polite action afterwards can and usually will result in a reduction or even removal of the mentioned penalties. As always, common sense and manners are most important.[/i:99eaa86ef6]
[b:99eaa86ef6][u:99eaa86ef6]Gaining GP (Gear Points)[/u:99eaa86ef6][/b:99eaa86ef6]
All members start with a base value of 500 GP. This ensures that people do not end up having really silly PR numbers, and prevents new members from overtaking veterans within 2 or 3 raids, which would obviously not be fair.
Everytime you acquire an item, your GP increases. This in return lowers your PR. All items have a flat fee based on their iLevel.
When no full members or trial members want an item for their Main Spec, the item will be distributed to people who can use the item for their off-spec. The costs for the item would be 10% of it's normal costs. Members can not simply choose which items belong to their off-spec, and the final call on this will be from the Raid Leader.
