I've just purchased an Unlimited Account for 6 months. Will extend this if it proves valuable to our raid analysis.
The [u:2674ff834d]private[/u:2674ff834d] guild stats URL is found at http://wowwebstats.com/6jcb4wsdns6mu
In order to tackle 25-mans we have to analyse how we are doing, who is contributing in what sense and who should improve. We can identify spell cycles, consumable use, etc. WoW Web Stats is brilliant for this - and much more accurate then for example DamageMeters.
In order to get the most accurate data for each raid I would like to ask some help from the officers. The more logs, the more accurate the data becomes. If we can get the logs from just a few people (the officers) who know what they are doing and don't send shit logs, we get a 99% accuracy on the data.
Contributing your logs is immensely easy, just follow the following steps:
(One-time only)[b:2674ff834d] Increase your combat log to maximum range.[/b:2674ff834d]
By default, the combat log only show events happening at 40 yards around you. It is always best to extend this logging range. The maximum possible is 200 yards.
Edit the file [i:2674ff834d]<your wow install dirrectory>/WTF/Config.wtf[/i:2674ff834d], and add these lines at the end:
(Use a "safe" editor: Notepad, UltraEdit, etc. Do *not* use Wordpad or equivalent programs.)
[code:1:2674ff834d]SET CombatLogRangeCreature "200"
SET CombatLogRangeFriendlyPlayers "200"
SET CombatLogRangeFriendlyPlayersPets "200"
SET CombatLogRangeHostilePlayers "200"
SET CombatLogRangeHostilePlayersPets "200"
SET CombatLogRangeParty "200"
SET CombatLogRangePartyPet "200"
SET CombatDeathLogRange "200"[/code:1:2674ff834d]
Before recording your first raid, ensure that you delete [i:2674ff834d]<your wow install dirrectory>/logs/WoWCombatLog.txt[/i:2674ff834d]
This file should not exist if you never recorded a combatlog before, but double check anyway.
[list=1:2674ff834d][*:2674ff834d] When the whole raid is ready to go, before the first pull, start recording the combatlog by typing [b:2674ff834d]/combatlog[/b:2674ff834d] in the chat window. We could agree to mention in /o chat when to start recording.
[*:2674ff834d] At the end of the raid, when the raid is called, stop the combatlog by typing [b:2674ff834d]/combatlog[/b:2674ff834d] again. Again we should remind each other in /o chat.
[*:2674ff834d] Zip [i:2674ff834d]<your wow install dirrectory>/logs/WoWCombatLog.txt[/i:2674ff834d] in the following format: [i:2674ff834d]WWS-Charactername.txt[/i:2674ff834d]
Example: [b:2674ff834d]WWS-Kaets.zip[/b:2674ff834d]
[*:2674ff834d] E-mail the zip file to vindicta@nnm-guild.com - please include the raidname, raid date and your character name in the subject.
Example: [i:2674ff834d]Gruul's Lair 04-11-2007 Kaets[/i:2674ff834d]
[*:2674ff834d] Delete [i:2674ff834d]<your wow install dirrectory>/logs/WoWCombatLog.txt[/i:2674ff834d][/list:o:2674ff834d]
It's that easy, it probably takes everyone less then 2 minutes. I will collect the logs which get send to me, merge them and generate a report on our WWS account where it will be viewable as long as the account exists.
Please make sure you delete your log after sending it and ensure you stop logging at the end of the raid. This file is cumulative, it does NOT delete or get recreated automatically. It's better not to send a log at all then to send a messed up one!
