Due to, what I would call gross missconduct, being rude, obnoxious, disrespectful and everything else in that category - Claire has been removed from the guild today. At the time it happened it was mostly a measure to prevent her from digging a deeper and deeper hole for herself by sprouting complete rubbish in guild chat to new members and old members alike - but as it stands now the removal might have to be permanent.

According to several members; Richard, Linn, Mike - Claire has contacted each of them individually in whispers and talked some complete rubbish - trying to get them to dislike the guild and in particularly me. Linn was quite upset with Claire, and her being a complete Claire fan / friend, I am taking her complaint quite serious.

Richard's words are "I really like Claire but she has gone too far" and "I would have removed her too". He indicated that Claire told him that "we are using him because Ally doesn't want to be a healer anymore". He has told her to stop talking rubbish and is reasonably upset.

Mike tries to stay neutral but described Claire as "drama queen".

Either way I can't be bothered with this kind of behaviour and think it is bad for the group as a whole. Please do feel free to disagree with me or shine another light on the situation though - or share your own version of what happened. Its 2:30am and I am quite tired of it all so this is not too comprehensive. :-)

I would hope that the issues could be resolved and at some point Claire would return, but I think she probably has a problem with you personally Peter (and possibly authority figures in general :wink: )
Despite numerous explanations she could not get her head round the fact why some people weren't included in the group for certain instances, when it was pretty damn obvious (i.e. not turning up on time, too many of a specific class, a level cap etc. etc.)
and some accusations she came up with were unfounded.

She needs a fucking good hard smack.

As the discussion among the guild is now taking proper form, I could really do with the opinion of every officer when it comes to "what to do".

I strongly believe she has no desire to return, but we have to make sure that as far as the NNM members are concerned, the officers voice their concerns. If you strongly believe she should be allowed back, please speak up.

If you strongly believe she should NOT be allowed back, I urge you to speak up as well. We need to show strong leadership and an active interest in the situation. My main concern is that we set a precedence with this situation so please refer to guild rules and analyse the situation before making any judgement. I am way too personally involved so I really appreciate some good feedback here.

Given her public voicing of a private, petty, and completely avoidable grievance in such a profoundly antagonistic way, it is my opinion that she should not be allowed back in. Not only did she reflect poorly on NNM and the officers, but also spread lies and attempted to cause strife in the guild, and is thus an unfit member, let alone officer.
