Well, it depends on how the ranking system works. Could just rename co-leader to senior officer or something for the current people who are officers (us lot), but that's probably overdoing it. If it's easy enough to do, just renaming the ranks to officer / senior officer is enough, with officer being class leader and senior officer being current officers.

That's probably more confusing though as WoW people associate officer with the ability to add/remove people :)

Hrm, how irritating. Personally, as long as we have [b:708363e8c7]some[/b:708363e8c7] way of distinguishing between those of us here and class leaders, I don't mind to much.

I do agree with you Neill that 'Officer' is a pants description and this sort of applies to Class Leaders as well.

I therefore suggest we step away from the term Officer altogether in terms of the Forum and In-game structure and simply stick to:
Class Leader
Raid Leader

This seems like a consistent structure and more clearly identifies somebodies general task. That said, with for example Ally it is good if she keeps Recruitment Officer in her signature to make it clear to applicants who she is and that they should be dealing with her. (And to Members as not all are mega aware of the forums.)

This could also make it easier for members long-term to recognise who have the authority to lead a raid outside the guild leaders.

The only 'odd' one in this structure would be yourself Neill, as you would be both Druid Class Leader as well as Healing Class Leader (eventually, once the experience is there) and the latter is in the long term as far as I am concerned a Raid Leader role.

Let me know what you guys think before we go ahead, I have implemented a fair bit of changes and would like to let the guild know - so if there is anything you don't agree with speak up now!

Works for me. It's not much of a problem in terms of being the odd one out, as healing class leader (raid leader) includes class leader in its job really anyway.

Roger - so if everybody is clear and ok on all above, we can go ahead and implement it.

I'll sort the in-game structure tonight, yay. Really don't get why Blizzard doesn't let you insert ranks / move ranks up/down. New ranks get added at the bottom and you either choose a non-hierarchical structure or you edit them from the top downwards...

I'll keep it Hierarchical for common sense, else the guild list in-game will become really hard to read.
