since i have T4 set bonus 4 it means that corruption and immolate last longer, there by dots are my strongest point i was thinking, what if i could use immolate also. I know i aint destro specced but i mean it is shadow dmg and it lasts 3 sec longer now
and as they wrote on elitetjerks:

Warlock

Affliction (UA)
Typical Rotation (In no particular order): Unstable Affliction, Siphon Life, Corruption, Curse of X, Immolate, Shadowbolt, reapply DoTs as needed
Ideal Mp5 from JoW: 111 Mp5

Any curse may be used with the same results
Shadowbolt assumed talented 2.5 second cast

Destruction (Shadowbolt)
Typical Rotation: Shadowbolt, repeat
Ideal Mp5 from JoW: 74 Mp5

so can i try it out for one raid and see it improves my DPSm since i also have shown multiple times i can keep my dots up with good timing and at all times,

There by i still want to react to the post peter made after we downed lurker and hydross in SSc, and that is the following curse of agony or CoS i mean sometimes its only me DPS ing on a, add. So wouldnt it be best for me to do a CoA then ?

espacially lurker adds.

please feedback on this, and i espacially wanna try the immolate stuff :) since its normal magic dmg wich i have enough of :) its just that fire dmg is a bit lower then shdw dmg but still i rock in dots so i really would like to try it :)

Charles, first of all Immolate is fire, not shadow, so you will have to take your fire dmg/bonus damage (as you have no gear that gives +fire dmg) to see how much it is likely to do. I know from myself that my shadow dmg is around 1140+-, whereas my fire is down below 1K. That is a big difference in base dmg lvl's

With this in mind, you are always better of casting a shadow spell over immolate. A second reason for this is that the time of the spell/dmg it does is lower than say casting an extra UA/Shadowbolt. It has the short timer of all your dots, so will require the most attention to keep alive.

Yes T4 gives a bonus that helps keep it up for 18 now instead of 15, but I personally still feel it better to use the time on s-bolts, where you have the chance to keep isb up, thereby gaining 20% buff, over a 18 second fire spell, where you have less base dmg.

Unless you somehow manage to fit immolate in without costing you time from keeping your other DoT's and ISB up, I don't see the point in wasting your mana on it -> Your fire damage bonus is most likely a lot lower then your shadow bonus is.

I read that this morning quickly before going to work and agree with Peter and Gregg, adding immolate to your spell cycle would only reduce your damage.
One thing I thought might add to overall damage on boss fights was carrying an absolute pile of soul shards and adding shadowburn into the spell cycle which is pretty much an instant 2k damage.
