o Add-ons[/list:u:c2ce3f5505]
...and will be expanded when I see there are more hunter specific requirements in effect.

You will be expected to enchant your gear. Excuses like "my gear isn't epic" are generally not tolerated, but if you insist I can take a look. Our current gear requirements for the raids we schedule are high, so this shouldn't be the case.
[b:c2ce3f5505]Weapon(s)[/b:c2ce3f5505]
Enchanting your weapon(s) may depend on various things. There are no rules to what you should enchant it with. However, depending on your talent build you may want to choose one enchant over another. In the raids we currently perform, you will most likely have a two-handed weapon equipped. The most common enchants for two-handed weapons are Savagery (+70 Attack Power) and Major Agility (+35 Agility). For Beast Mastery and Marksmanship talent builds, Savagery is an excellent choice. For Survival builds, who heavily depend on Agility, Major Agility is the best choice. They are expensive, but two-handed weapon enchants are well worth it, and the weapons you will have enchanted will not easily get replaced.

[b:c2ce3f5505]Legs[/b:c2ce3f5505]
Enchanting your legs will happen a little bit more often than enchanting your weapon(s). They are a cheaper as well, and should not be neglected. Leg enchants can greatly improve either survivability or raid damage. Our guild's leatherworkers are capable of crafting the Leg Armors and will do so for no fee, if you provide the reagents. Once again, get AP/Crit for BM and MM, and consider Sta/Agi for SV (however, you can most likely benfit more from AP/Crit).

[b:c2ce3f5505]Gloves and Bracers[/b:c2ce3f5505]
As described above, you may choose whatever benefits your talent build most (agility strictly for Survival, basicly).

[b:c2ce3f5505]Head[/b:c2ce3f5505]
Hunter's only have 1 useful TBC head enchant:
Glyph of Ferocity
[b:c2ce3f5505]Feet[/b:c2ce3f5505]
Basicly there is only one enchant worth it for hunters, and that's Dexterity. However, if you like to PvP, Cat's Swiftness can be a good choice for using those boots for both PvP and PvE.
Dexterity
[b:c2ce3f5505]Shoulders[/b:c2ce3f5505]
This enchant depends on your Faction choice (Scryer / Aldor). They basicly come down to the same thing, so it's not a big deal which faction you have, as long as you enchant your shoulders.
[b:c2ce3f5505]Ranged[/b:c2ce3f5505]
An important enchant is enhancing your ranged weapon with a scope. The best scope out there is the +28 Crit Rating scope, since this scope applies to ALL attacks issued by your weapon, whereas the +dmg scopes will only apply to your Auto Shot. For arena, you will most likely want a +12 dmg scope, since Crits are highly mitigated there. However, if you do NOT have a seperate ranged weapon for PvE, we expect you to enchant it with a Stabilized Eternium Scope.

[i:c2ce3f5505]I am an engineer, if you want this scope you can contact me. As a guildie, I will not issue a fee.[/i:c2ce3f5505]
[u:c2ce3f5505][b:c2ce3f5505]Hit-rating[/b:c2ce3f5505][/u:c2ce3f5505][/color:c2ce3f5505]
Hit rating is very important, but often neglected. It's a fact that the higher (level) the opponent is, the "harder" it is to successfully land attacks on it. There is a certain calculation for it that I will not discuss here. In an ideal world you require the following:
- Special attack or ranged auto-attack, base 142 hit rating
- Special attack or ranged auto-attack, with 3/3 Surefooted: 95 hit rating
Reaching the cap is your top priority, and while it is hard, it is quite necessary to live up to the current hunter dps standards in our guild. You will get difficult decisions where you need to swap out gear for inferior gear with more hit rating, until you recieve another piece of gear which allows you to swap the superior piece back in. It is adviced to keep quest rewards with hit rating in your bank incase such a situation takes place. If needed, you are requested to resocket gems to upgrade your hit rating. When you acquire new pieces of gear, you can slowly resocket gems to fit to your liking (and talent build).

Below you will find some add-ons (section might be expanding over time) useful to hunters.
[b:c2ce3f5505]Misdirectionhelper[/b:c2ce3f5505]
This addon creates a macro that will remember your misdirection target. You can enter a name in the textbox, and if you press Enter, you will find the newly created macro in the /macro screen. You can replace your old MD button with this macro. It will have the same spell icon. When you leftclick, your MD on the target your filled in your textbox [u:c2ce3f5505]without switching targets[/u:c2ce3f5505]. If you rightclick, MD will function as normal (you will get a selection cursor allowing you to manually select a player).
For now, this concludes the hunter requirements. Also read our hunter's Raid Expectations thread here and please check out this and this.
We expect our hunter's (in fact all our members) to be up-to-date in the topic of Raid Strategies. There are fights where our hunter's have specific tasks (i.e. tanking on the High King Maulgar fight). You are expected to be aware of the facts. If something is not clear to you, do not hesitate to contact me, Richard (Simbrah) or Karl (Cedriel). If you do not understand a certain bossfight, YouTube it.
Seeing is believing.
Experience > any guide.
